  3. senile diseases. Among his pupils was Sigmund
  4. Freud. Charcot worked at a hospital in Paris,
  5. where he studied the way certain mental
  6. illnesses cause physical changes in the
  7. brain. He exhibited hysterical women at
  8. weekly public lectures, which became highly
  9. fashionable events.
